Kvinnfolki – your shop for authentic Gotlandic handicrafts

Discover Unique, Handmade Treasures from Gotland

At our store, you'll find a wide selection of unique, handcrafted products made on Gotland.

We offer knitwear and felted items, woodwork, ceramics, lambskins, and honey. You'll also find arts and crafts, clothing, and jewelry – all created by women artisans living and working in Gotland.

In our shop, you can connect directly with the makers – we’re the ones running the store. The selection changes regularly, so there’s always something new and exciting to discover.

Come in and find your own favorites!

We’re open Monday to Sunday, 10 AM – 6 PM, all year round.

NOTE! On Tuesday, September 2nd, we will close at 5 pm for staff care.

You’ll find us at Donners Plats in Visby. Welcome!

The Kvinnfolki shop is owned and run by a cooperative of artisans, close to Visby harbor in Donners Place. The shop offers handmade products made by the members themselves.

Each Kvinnfolki member is a woman with a passion for creation, running her own business, and residing on Gotland. This concept has been successful for over 30 years. In recognition of our dedication and work, we were honoured with the prestigious "Cooperative of the Year on Gotland 2025" award by Coompanion, an achievement of which we are very proud.

Thanks to the fact that we are 15 different craftsmen working together, our shop offers a wide selection of unique products and has generous opening hours all year round.

"In the Gotland dialect and older Swedish, forms like "folki" often appeared instead of "folk" which may have been a way to mark the plural or a small group, often with a more local or informal tone. "Kvinnfolki" is specifically used in the Gotland dialect to refer to women as a group.”
